Elections are able to happen because of poll officials helping run polling locations across the nation. Poll officials are a vital part of elections in Tennessee. Poll officials conduct a variety of tasks to help polling sites run smoothly, including greeting voters, answering questions, processing voters, explaining how to cast a ballot, and counting votes. Poll officials are compensated for working during early voting, on Election Day, and attending any required training sessions. Training is available on days, nights, and Saturdays.

If 18, or older, must be a registered voter in Shelby County
On election days, willing to work from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. or until precinct work is completed
